If you own The Sims 4 Discover University expansion pack, you can study to become a teacher, and then a professor. Select the Education Career, complete all the milestones required to unlock the first five levels of this career, and then select the Professor branch.
The second branch of the Education Career, the Administrator branch, doesn’t allow you to teach students.
To become a better teacher in The Sims 4, you should also focus on getting a Psychology degree.
The best traits for a teaching career are the following: Outgoing, Ambitious, and Genius. Sims with the Genius trait will quickly level up their Research and Debate skill which is crucial for teachers.
Make sure to level up your Sim’s Logic and Charisma skills. The Logic skill will make your Sim an excellent teacher while the Charisma skill will make them very popular among their students.

Once you’ve reached Level 3 in the Education career, you’re officially a teacher with your own classroom and your own students.

- Level 7: Lead Lecturer, earns $110/hour
- Level 8: Adjunct Professor, earns $135/hour
- Level 9: Tenured Professor, earns $175/hour
- Level 10: Master Educator, earns $265/hour
Can you be a teacher in Sims 4 High School Years?
You cannot play as a teacher in The Sims 4 High School Years. You can’t play as the Principal either. Even if you use cheats to add one of the existing teachers to your household, they’ll instantly lose their job. If you click on their Career icon, you’ll notice they have no job.
This means there are no teacher-specific interactions that you can use in The Sims 4 High School Years. You can’t teach students or grade them.
