The Sims 4 is a game full of creatures of every kind and that’s one of the elements that make this game so much fun to play. But if you want to interact with a particular Sim type, let’s say a mermaid, well, finding one is not that easy.

Where do you find mermaids in The Sims 4?
Mermaids are creatures of the water and you can encounter them while diving or taking a stroll by boat out in the sea in the town of Sulani. The volcano area is a place where mermaids get together so you should be able to find one if you spend enough time there. Another mermaid spawner area is Mua Pel’am.
If you’re playing Island Living and you walk around asking the townies to tell you where you can find mermaids, they’ll probably tell you they don’t know. But some of them may be mermaids in disguise.
There are two ways to learn if a Sim is a mermaid: they admit it or you see them swimming in the water
Keep in mind that the biggest and most important indicator is that they’ll have eyes that are far apart, slit, and on an angle. But these face archetypes in Mersims are not always that obvious.
Where to meet Nalani the mermaid
Perhaps the most famous mermaid is Nalani. She is a pre-made mermaid living in Sulani. You can find her at the Ohan’ali bar or at the beach but you have to search hard for her if you’re a human.
If you’re a mermaid, you can easily spot her swimming casually in the water and become friends very easily.
You can also find her as a vendor in one of the food kiosks in Lani St. Taz. Just like all the pre-made mermaids, Nalani lives in a hidden household, so you won’t find her if you go to Manage Worlds.
She doesn’t have a residence but if you walk around you’ll surely find her after a while.
After you befriend her and ask her to move into your household, you should be able to see her in your household — provided that she accepts your invitation.
Where do you find Mermaid Kelp in The Sims 4?
Speaking of Mersims, there is another question that’s been long bugging The Sims 4 players.
Mermadic Kelp can be found through fishing, diving for treasure, as well as exploring the cave in Mua Pel’am. Once the kelp is available in the inventory, your Sims need to eat lots of it in order to turn into Mersims.
By the way, if you want to stop being a mermaid, you need to eat two pieces of Mermaid Kelp and then enter a body of water.
