Vampires don’t have to sleep in coffins in The Sims 4. Sleeping in a coffin is optional. Vampires can sleep in a regular bed without any problem.
However, vampires that have the Sleep of the Undead weakness can only sleep in coffins.
If you don’t want your vampires to sleep in beds, you can give them the Sleep of the Undead weakness as soon as it’s available. You can also use cheats to get the job done.
This is one of the least negative quirks that vampires can have.
The bad news is that all vampires have a few weaknesses, irrespective of their rank. Even Grand Master Vampires have weaknesses.
As a quick reminder, vampires have different needs from regular Sims. The sleep and bladder bars have been replaced by the Power bar.
You can replenish the Power bar by doing a brief Dark Meditation or sleeping in a coffin.
Hibernate in the coffin
If your vampire has yet to unlock the Sun Resistance perk, you may want to make them hibernate in their coffins during the day.
If they go outside during the day, from 9 AM to 5 PM, they’ll die from sunlight unless you do something to protect them from the sun.
If you use the Sleep interaction instead of Hibernate, vampires will typically get out of their coffins after just a couple of hours.
Well, if playing with vampires is getting boring, you can have your vampire Sim sleep in a coffin and fast-forward time.

- Vampires can woohoo in coffins. Use this unusual woohoo location to bring new vampire babies to the world.
- While the option to woohoo in a coffin is available for regular Sims as well, they will be utterly disgusted by the idea. They’ll refuse to woohoo in a coffin, and there’s nothing you can do about it.
