Your toddler’s trait influences their behavior when Autonomy is on.

There’s a total of 14 toddler traits in The Sims 4.

What’s the best toddler trait in The Sims 4?

The best toddler traits in The Sims 4 are Angelic, Calm, Charmer, Independent, and Sunny. These traits make toddlers easy to raise. They don’t need a lot of attention and are in a good mood most of the time.

But if you’re up for a challenge, you can choose traits such as Clingy, Wild, Fussy, or Intense.

Let’s take a quick look at all the toddler traits available in The Sims 4.

Angelic

Angelic toddlers never throw tantrums. They smile all the time, love speaking to strangers, and can easily interact with other Sims.

They don’t need extra attention and are easy to raise.

Calm

These Sims rarely have big emotions taking over them. They are easy to calm when they get in a bad mood. Which rarely happens, by the way.

Charmer

This toddler makes friends easily. They love being around strangers. They have an easy time interacting with other Sims irrespective of their age.

They’re social butterflies and everybody likes them.

Clingy

Clingy toddlers are shy and don’t like being outside and near strangers. They need their parents or caregivers to comfort them all the time.

The advantage is that they gain skills faster than other toddlers.

Just make sure someone’s there to comfort them when they’re experiencing negative emotions.

Cautious

These Sims appreciate the familiar and are slow to warm up to new experiences, locations, and Sims.

They’ll have an easier time opening up to new things when a parent or caregiver is around.

Fussy

Fussy toddlers cry to lot. They make a lot of noise, especially when they’re not getting the attention they need.

Give them attention and interact with them to help them overcome negative emotions. Play with them and they should be fine.

Independent

Independent toddlers don’t need a lot of attention. They enjoy doing things on their own and exploring the world at their own pace.

They don’t like being told what to do.

They’ll gain skills faster when no one’s around.

Intense

These Sims have big emotions and are easily entertained but they are also more difficult to calm when in a bad mood.

This trait is the opposite of the Calm trait.

Inquisitive

Inquisitive toddlers love learning new things. They’ll level up their Thinking skill much faster than other toddlers.

Make sure they learn something new every day.

If you fail to do that, they’ll get negative buffs from not learning anything in a while.

Sensitive

These Sims need a lot of attention and care. They like familiar faces and places.

Silly

Silly toddlers love playing and having fun. They can’t stay put.
They level up their Imagination skill faster than other toddlers.

Sunny

These Sims are bursting with smiles and giggles and enjoy engaging with other Sims. But they do require more social attention.

Wiggly

These Sims like to move a lot and explore everything around them. You need to soothe them when you put them in their crib to convince them to go to sleep.

Wild

Wild toddlers are always full of energy. They need to move all the time and spend a lot of time outside to be Happy.

If you keep them inside the house for too long, they’ll get sad.

These toddlers gain Movement skills faster than other toddlers.

They won’t stop until they break loose from their babyproofed enclosures.

⇒ Fun Fact:

Toddlers that age up with all five toddlers skills to at least Level 4 will get the Happy Toddler reward.

Make sure to level up your toddler’s Imagination, Communication, Thinking, Movement, and Potty skills to unlock this special trait.
