What is the Reset Object tool in The Sims 4?
The Reset Object command is a debug tool that will cancel any actions listed on your Sim’s action queue. It will put your Sims back into a neutral playable state. Resetting your Sims will cancel their wishes and moodlets.
However, it won’t delete relationships, skills, and traits. It won’t erase pregnancies either.
How to use Reset Object
To use Reset Object in The Sims 4, press and hold CTRL, Shift, and C at the same time to open the Cheat Console. Then type testingcheats true and hit Enter.
Press the Shift button and click on the Sim you want to reset. Select the Reset Object (Debug) option.
When to use Reset Object in The Sims 4
You can use the Reset Object option if your Sim is unresponsive, or got stuck in one place and won’t move at all. You can use this tool on all Sims, not just the ones you’re controlling.
All you need to do is enable cheats, Shift-click on the problematic Sim, and select Reset Object.
What to do if Reset Object won’t work
In rare cases, even the Reset Object option may fail to work.
To bypass this glitch, try traveling to a different lot or use the Teleport feature. Shift-click on the ground and teleport your Sims there.

If you own High School Years and your Sim suddenly stops with their arms spread out, that’s not a glitch. They just joined the T-Pose challenge. There’s no need to use the Reset Object (Debug) option.
