Can you make your own fishing pond in Sims 4?

You can make your very own fishing pond in The Sims 4. First, you need to build your pond using the terrain tools. Then, go out in the world, catch some fish and stock them in your pond. You can now catch fish directly from your pond.

Here’s a quick breakdown of the steps to follow.

How can I build a fishing pond in Sims 4?

To build a fishing pond in The Sims 4, lower an area on your lot using the Lower Terrain tool.  Basically, you’re going to dig a hole in the ground.

After shaping your pond, use the Water Tools to floor the area. Select Fill Water to Level to top up your pond.

You can now add Outdoor Water Decor such as plants, rocks, logs, and even ducks and swans.

How do you add fish to a pond in Sims 4?

To add fish to your pond in The Sims 4, enter Build Mode, go to Outdoor Water Decor, select the Fishing Allowed Sign, and place it in the pond.

Then, go out in the world, catch some fish, put them in your inventory, click on the fishing sign and select Stock Pond With Fish and then add them to your home pond.

If you don’t stock your pond with fish, the option to fish will be greyed out.

The following message will appear on the screen when you try to fish in your home pond: Sims can only fish here once this pond has been stocked with fish. Place a Fishing Allowed Sign from Build Mode in this water and then use it to add fish.

Alternatively, you can also use the Grocery Delivery option and buy some fish that you can then use to stock your home pond.

Well, if you want to stock your home pond with rare fish, you only have one option: go out in the world and catch those fish. You can’t buy rare fish using the Grocery Delivery option.

If you want to stock your pond with Rainbowfish, Angelfish, or other types of rare fish, you’ll need to catch those fish in the wild.
