Sims can celebrate their love by exchanging vows and hosting a unique wedding event. If you have My Wedding Stories installed, you can plan your Sims’ wedding to the detail.
Unfortunately, Sims 4 players have always had a hard time getting wedding guest to sit down. They always find something more interesting to do right before the ceremony begins.
The good news is that My Wedding Stories features a new mechanic that solves this annoying problem.
To get wedding guests to sit down in Sims 4, click on one of the wedding chairs or tables available at the venue and select the Please Take your Seats interaction. This option will force all of the guests to sit down and watch the ceremony.
This means that you no longer need to install a special mod to get the guest to sit down during the wedding ceremony.
You can then reward the wedding guests with a delicious slice of cake.
Of course, if you don’t have this game pack installed, you may still resort to a mod such as the “Sit at weddings” mod to get the job done. You can also try out the workarounds below and check if they do the trick for you.
How to get guests to sit down and watch the wedding ceremony in Sims 4
If Sims are in the vicinity of the wedding arch when the ceremony starts, they’ll watch, but getting them to sit on their chairs could still be a challenge.
Alternatively, you can try calling them to a meal near the seating area. They should cooperate and sit down on their own.
Another solution is to create a group with the Sim who’s about to get married. Then, add as many wedding guests as possible to that group. You can then have them go over the wedding venue together and then start the wedding ceremony. Most of the Sims who follow should sit down on their own.
Well, if nothing works, get used to the idea of having just the bride, groom and a lot of empty chairs at your Sims’ wedding ceremony.
