To get an industrial eco-footprint in The Sims 4, you must create pollution and implement actions that industrialize the area. Vote for Neighborhood Action Plans that accelerate the industrialization of the neighborhood. Remove trees, plants, and grass from your backyard and public lots.
Use power generation units that rely on fuel to generate electricity. Burning fuel will quickly pollute the air. Continue to use your power generation units to ensure the neighborhood is constantly under a thick cloud of smog.
Additionally, purchase household appliances that consume a lot of electricity and don’t use Auto-Lights. Don’t use eco-friendly household items and don’t upgrade your appliances with Eco Upgrade Parts.
What you want to do is use high-consumption household items. For example, some shower models consume more water than others.
Speaking of increasing your water consumption, don’t repair your shower, toilet, and sink when they break.
Don’t recycle anything and try to convince others to follow your lead. Recycling stuff will only slow down the industrialization process.
You can also light bonfires or campfires in your backyard to further increase pollution. Don’t forget to fuel the fire from time to time. If you don’t do that, the fire will burn out.
You can also cause fires in the neighborhood to release more smoke into the air.
Keep in mind that fires are more likely to occur in an industrial area than in a green neighborhood.
Turn community lots into industrial lots. For example, instead of creating community gardens, build a power station.
Do all that and your eco-footprint will quickly go down.
After changing your neighborhood’s eco-footprint to industrial, Sims will get the Gross Air Uncomfortable buff. This indicates the air is heavily polluted and townies feel really uncomfortable breathing it.
⇒ Quick Tip:
If you want to generate a huge pollution cloud quickly, you can have your Sim build a rocket and send it to space.
