The Sims 4: All you need to know about bonfires

The-Sims-4-bonfire

Bonfires are available in the following Sims 4 game kits, packs, and expansion packs:

  • Little Campers Kit
  • Outdoor Retreat
  • Get Together
  • Island Living
  • Werewolves

Kids cannot light up and extinguish bonfires, only teens and adults can do that. They can also add logs to keep the fire going.

What can Sims do around bonfires?

You can use bonfires for various activities such as listening to group stories, singing songs, or staying warm.

If your Sim is very rich, they can throw money into the fire and watch it burn. However, nearby Sims won’t enjoy the show.

Sims will become Happy, Playful, or Inspired at the end of a good bonfire story. If the story doesn’t go that well, Sims will get Embarrassed.

Sims can also cuddle with their partners near the bonfire. They can also perform a fire dance.

Sims that perform a fire dance near the bonfire for the first time will often burn themselves and get an Uncomfortable moodlet.

To avoid getting burned, get your Sim into a Confident mood and make sure there are a few Sims around to watch them juggle with fire.

You can also change the color of the fire if you fancy lighting the night in an unusual color.

Which Sims 4 packs support campfires and bonfires?

There are three types of campfires available in The Sims 4 Outdoor Retreat:

  • Rocks of Fire: Price 450 Simoleons
  • Roast’em and Toast’em Campfire: Price 475 Simoleons
  • Cozy Backyard Firepit: Price 350 Simoleons

Get Together adds two bonfires to the game:

  • The Gift of Fire: Price 95 Simoleons
  • Billowing Bonfire: Price 150 Simoleons

If you own Island Living, you can purchase the Good Ole Fashioned Bonfire for 600 Simoleons.

If you own Werewolves, you can get the Junk-Filled Bonfire for 125 Simoleons.

What is the difference between a campfire and a bonfire?

Bonfires are larger than campfires. The risk of fire increases when using bonfires due to their size.

Campfires are smaller and much more contained. You can use them to roast marshmallows and cook hotdogs and fish.

Bonfires are just for warmth and for lighting a larger area. You don’t usually cook around a bonfire. They are primarily used for warmth and entertainment.

Campfires are more practical than bonfires.

Happy Simming!
