The Sims 4: Enchant Gnomes and Put Them to Work

Sims 4 Giant Gnome Statue

There’s a lot of gnome stuff in The Sims 4: Enchanted by Nature. The giant gnome statue behind the museum on the Coast of Adhmor is tied to a fable that unlocks a trait called Now You Gnome. This trait lets you interact more with the Giant Gnome.Sims-Now-You-Gnome-reward-trait

You can try to appease him. If you succeed, he’ll reward you with items like fairy dust, a gnome statue, or special elixirs.

Be careful, though. Making the Giant Gnome angry might give your Sim an ailment.

⇒ Some Quick Lore Info

The story goes that the Giant Gnome statue was built as a symbol of hope after the end of the Gnome Wars.

Those Gnome Wars are why gnomes can only be brought to life temporarily. The wars also led to the creation of the Fairy Council.

There’s some deep lore around the gnomes in this pack.

Here’s a quick look at the practical side of gnomes in the pack.

Use Fairy Dust to Enchant Gnomes and Put Them to Work

Both fairies and human Sims can bring gnomes to life using fairy dust.

When you bring a gnome to life, you can choose its role: cleaning, gardening, protecting, or handling repairs and upgrades. Once it’s been enchanted, it’ll teleport around your lot doing that job.

They’re super handy at first.

For example, a cleaning gnome will mop puddles and throw away trash.  One set to repair will fix broken sinks or upgrade appliances.

Gardening gnomes are also super useful. They teleport around your lot, tending to your plants. They boost plant quality, and they drop a ton of seed packets—sometimes even rare ones,

The protector will scare off intruders like burglars or mischief-making Sims.  If you enchant a gnome to protect, it can stop the Grim Reaper from reaping your Sim’s soul.

They don’t last forever, but they can save your Sim a lot of time while they’re active.

Don’t Overdo It

If you enchant gnomes too often or lean on them too much, things can backfire. The game gives you a warning, but if you ignore it, the Gnome Council gets mad.

When that happens, your helpful gnomes turn into troublemakers. Instead of helping, they start breaking stuff and causing chaos around your house.
