The Apothecary skill is a 10-level skill where Sims craft cures for ailments and various elixirs.
All crafting happens at the new apothecary table, which costs just 100 Simoleons, so it’s easy to get started.
Leveling up this skill is straightforward. Sims can study right at the apothecary table to get better at crafting.
Ingredients are needed for crafting, and they must be in your inventory. Some ingredients are simple crops like lemons or basil, while others are rare and must be foraged, like small critter bones.
You can also buy the necessary ingredients.
This pack also adds three new magical plants for crafting.
For example, you’ll need the Lightning Root leaves for several recipes. You can always forage for them.

Be careful, the plant can shock your Sims and make them Dazed. Just don’t get shocked twice in a row.
Honestly, using the Natural Living Skill and foraging around the world feels way more in tune with the whole natural vibe of the pack.
I think this is the primary method I’m going to use with this pack. Besides, there’s a new collection with 18 different Innisgreen ingredients, and you can complete the collection by foraging alone.
Ask Todd the Apothecary to Mentor Your Sim
Todd runs the apothecary stand, and you can haggle with him to get 25% off the ingredients you need to craft your potions and elixirs. Do that before buying anything.
Also, use the apothecary table near his stand to get him to mentor your Sim.
The apothecary skill is pretty slow to level up, so his mentoring helps give a good head start.
He’s always nearby and mentors for free.
Unlocking Recipes and Selling Potions
As your Sim levels up in the apothecary skill, more recipes unlock. Some potions are useful for curing ailments. Others are just mood boosters or fun little effects.
The best part? Sims can sell the potions they make. This works well if you’re playing an herbalism or off-the-grid Sim who wants to make a living from nature.
Here’s a list of all the potions your Sim can make:
