Once your Sims are engaged, you can start planning the wedding of their dreams. You can buy a wedding cake, pick a dress for the bride, invite other Sims to join the event, and so on. But what if you don’t want any of that?
What happens when you elope in Sims 4?
When you elope in Sims 4, your Sims will instantly become husband and wife. They’ll get married right there and then, skipping the time-consuming traditional wedding ceremony.
This is an excellent option, especially if you’re not into organizing major events such as wedding or your Sims don’t have many friends.
A lot of things can go wrong during wedding events. Oftentimes, caterers won’t show up, cooks won’t start cooking, and so on. Not to mention that getting guests to sit down and watch the ceremony is a real nightmare.
By selecting the “Elope immediately with…” option, you can toss all headaches of planning the event out the window. The whole event also feels a bit more intimate, especially when your Sims are cutting and sharing the cake.
