Candle making is a handy Fabrication skill in The Sims 3 Eco Lifestyle. To unlock this skill, go into Build & Buy Mode and buy a Candle Making station.
You can either sell or keep your candles. If you’re living off the grid, you should probably keep them.
What ingredients do I need to make candles in The Sims 4?
You need the following ingredients to make candles in The Sims 4: wax, Bits and Pieces, and dye.
The fastest way to get wax for candles is to buy wax blocks.
You can also get wax from beehives with Seasons. You can collect wax every other day.
Or you can grow Soy plants and collect Soy wax every other day.
You can find lots of Soy plants in the Port Promise area in Evergreen Harbor.
To get Bits and Pieces, dive into dumpsters and sort out recyclable items or recycle old stuff from your inventory. This is a key currency for candle making.
If your Sim can’t afford a recycling machine, go to the neighborhood with the most smog. There’s a big dumpster on the community lot. Click on it and separate the recyclables from the trash.
Do that a few times, and then use the recycling machine that’s located on the same community lot and upcycle the materials you found in the dumpster.
If you’re lucky, you can find ink or a bottle of dye while dumpster-diving. Alternatively, you can click on the Fabricator and purchase dyes.
To level up your Sim’s Candle Making skill, you need to keep on crafting candles.
You know what they say, practice makes perfect.
Why can’t I make candles in The Sims 4?
The reason why you can’t make candles in The Sims 4 is that you don’t have all the necessary ingredients. Make sure you have enough Bits and Pieces in your inventory. You also need wax and dye to make candles.
Can I make lots of Simoleons by selling candles?
Making candles and selling them at Makers Space can help your Sim cash in some extra money. However, you won’t get rich by selling candles.
You can make an OK-ish living, but you’ll need to find additional income streams if you want your Sim to live a comfortable life.
There are other more lucrative activities you can pursue to get rich in The Sims 4.
Happy Simming!
