If you want to boast about the chickens you raised on your farm, you can bring them to the Finchwick Chicken Fair. Put your chickens in the booth and let other Sims admire them.
As a quick reminder, the fair takes place every Saturday. The Mayor will be there as well, judging the competition.
However, many players complained their chickens disappeared after the chicken fair competition ended.
If you’re experiencing similar issues in Sims 4 Cottage Living, rest assured, this is not a bug, and your chickens are not gone for good.
You can get them back.
Where did my chicken disappear after the festival in Sims 4 Cottage Living?
The game sends your chickens to your household inventory after the Finchwick festival ends and you go home. Chickens are objects in Sims 4 Cottage Living.
When you go back to your farm, your chickens are not available in your personal inventory or the coop area. You won’t have the option to assign them to the coop or anything.
That’s what made many players panic in despair thinking their chickens were gone for good.
After the festival ends, there’s no option to remove the chickens from the booth. That’s why the game sends them to your household inventory.
Many gamers don’t really like this approach:
For whatever reason they make you take your chicken in the personal inventory and then give them back to you in your household inventory!
Well, maybe EA will change the game mechanics in the future to make things simpler.
Long story short, if some of your animals or chickens disappeared after the festival in Sims 4 Cottage Living, check your household inventory. That’s where you should find them.
By the way, if you’re planning to move and take your animals with you, move all of your animals into your inventory, and then move them to your new farm.
