You can cook and eat the fish you catch in The Sims 4. There are many dishes that use fish as their main ingredient. To cook fish-based dishes, your Sim needs to reach level 3 of the Cooking skill.
As you level up your Cooking skill, you can access additional fish dishes. For example, you can cook fish tacos, pan-fried Tilapia, grilled salmon, and more.
After finishing your fishing session, go home and place the fish in the fridge. To use it next time you cook, click on the fridge, select Cook and select Use fresh ingredients.
Fish will spoil very rapidly if you don’t put them in the fridge. After 24 hours, it will become foul. Your fish fillet will spoil even if you place them in the fridge. The only difference is that the process will advance at a slower rate.
If you can’t put your fish fillets in the fridge, this means they’ve already gone bad. The game doesn’t let you store foul fish.
Alternatively, you can put fish in a fish bowl or use them to stock your home pond. These two options are great for preventing fish from spoiling.
However, if your Sim has reached Level 10 of the Cooking skill, they can cook high-quality dishes even if they’re using spoiled fish as the main ingredient.

To keep fish fresh indefinitely in The Sims 4, you need the Get to Work expansion pack. Build a retail store and add a commercial fridge. Then, click on the fridge and select Set to Sale to place your fish in the fridge.
In this manner, you can maintain its freshness and quality indefinitely.
