You can catch Anglerfish in Sylvain Glade. There are two fishing spots in Sylvain Glade. Both have Anglerfish. Keep in mind that the pond from Sylvain Glade doesn’t have a fishing sign on it. You just have to click on it to go fishing.
As a quick reminder, Sylvain Glade is a secret fishing spot. To access the area, your Sim needs to water the Mysterious Tree from Willow Creek and compliments its leaves.
Do this three times, and the Explore option will become available.
There is also a fishing spot where you can catch Anglerfish at the far north end of the Oasis Springs park. There’s a small fishing spot at the end of the river. That’s where you can catch Anglerfish.
You can also catch Kissing Gourami, Rainbowfish, Piranha, and Batfish in Oasis Springs.
The best bait to use for Anglerfish is medium-sized fish. Catfish and bass are particularly useful for catching Anglerfish.
To increase your chances of catching an Anglerfish, make sure your Sim is Focused and use the Angle for big catch interaction.
Catching an Anglerfish requires a lot of patience. You may need to spend two or three Sim days fishing in Sylvain Glade until you manage to catch a single Anglerfish.
