How do you get banned in Rainbow Six Siege?


Rainbow Six Siege bans may sometimes hit players without any warning. In 2020,Ubisoft banned almost 100,000 players for cheating thanks to its automated system for detecting cheaters. Ubisoft may ban your Rainbow Six Siege account for the following reasons:

  • Engaging in Reverse Friendly Fire. If you hurt a teammate or a hostage, you’ll get a warning. After repeated offenses, your shots will start doing damage to you and you’ll also get a temporary ban. The length of the ban is decided on a case-by-case basis. The first ban usually lasts for 30 minutes.
  • Disconnecting from the game. If you disconnect from a ranked game, your account will be temporarily banned. You may also receive a ranked penalty. The second offense will bring you a 60-minute ban, while the third offense will trigger a 24-hour ban. If you commit a fourth offense, you’ll be banned from playing the game for 48 hours. The fifth offense will trigger a 7-day ban.
