What to do if you got a false ban in Battlefield 2042

Many Battlefield 2042 players have complained about getting false positive bans. This is a very frustrating issue. Let’s discuss what causes the game’s anti-cheat system to trigger the ban, and how to dispute it.

What causes false bans in Battlefield 2042?

Easy Anti-Cheat may sometimes label compatibility issues with various software as cheating and ban you without a warning. It seems that Corsair’s iCue and other programs developed by Corsair may sometimes cause Battlefield 2042 false bans.

Gamers noticed that iCue was tagged as cheating if used for changing the screen lightning settings beyond what EA devs intended for the gameplay. Many players suspect this could influence certain in-game parameters and that’s what’s triggering the false bans.

Submit a ticket to appeal the false ban

Check your EA account to confirm the ban. Then contact EA’s Terms of Service team, and put in a dispute with the subject “Battlefield 2042 Wrongful Ban for Cheating”. Give them all the details about the ban.

There are no warnings

This is not the first time that gamers have complained Easy Anti-Cheat banned people simply for having something from Corsair.

But the main problem is that EA doesn’t tell you anything about the ban. There’s no prior warning, nothing. They simply send you a message informing you that your account has been banned.

We noticed that your Battlefield 2042 account has been involved in cheating, which violates our Positive Play Charter.

Battlefield 2042 players permanently banned across all platforms

Due to cross-play, EA automatically bans Battlefield 2042 players across all platforms. As the company explains:

Another change for Battlefield 2042 is that due to cross-play functionality, when a cheater is sanctioned it will cause them to be instantly disconnected mid-match and permanently banned across all platforms. […] To keep our community a fair place, we have a no tolerance rule in place. There are no warnings and no suspensions when it comes to cheating. If you don’t play by the rules, you’re out.

  1. I urge to them to please take a serious look , But still they said I am cheating , sad thing that always been a strong fan of this game, even my stats are not that good k/d rate is terrible ,i asked them to look into my stats even though im lvl 93 but my stats are still bad, it would have been different if i use any cheat program. But thats just that ban in both platform pc and ps4 . Response just like they dont really care much .
