Fix League of Legends Client Keeps Scanning Files

Fix 1 – Install the latest system updates
Irrespective of the operating system that you use on your computer, check for updates to make sure that you’re running the latest OS version available.

The game depends on your OS to run properly. If League of Legends is scanning files forever, update your operating system and check if the issue persists.

Install and run this automatic troubleshooter and if the problem doesn’t go away, go to the next solution.

Fix 3 – Log out of the game client
Logging out of the game client and then logging back in may fix the problem. Some gamers confirmed that this simple action fixed the issue for them. Although this workaround may not work for all players, it’s sure worth giving it a try.

Fix 4 – Change your region
Other players said that changing their region helped them fix the problem. So, select a region that’s pretty far away from your current location, wait for a couple of minutes and then change back your region.
