Fix Sims 4: Custom Eyes Not Showing Up

custom eyes not showing up sims 4

One of the things that I really like the most about Sims 4 is that the game allows players to customize plenty of graphics items and Sim traits. For example, you can create custom eyes and use an image editor to further edit the new pair of eyes until you really like it.

But sometimes, custom eyes won’t show up in Sims 4. That’s really frustrating. Image spending 30 minutes or more editing custom eyes only to realize your creating is nowhere to be found in the game.

This problem can affect multiple eyes from multiple creators. Basically, what happens is that the eyes show up in the mods list when you launch the hame, but they don’t appear in CAS.

Well, that happened to me as well and that is the reason why I decided to write this guide.

⇒ Important Note: Don’t forget to backup your game before following the troubleshooting suggestions below.

Custom Eyes Not Showing Up in Sims 4? Try This

Fix 1 – Remove Luumia eyeshine remover

Many players suggested that removing Luumia’s eyeshine remover should fix the issue. This is a mod that removes the eyeshine (specular) from default eyes.

It seems there is something with this mod that’s conflicting with the rest of your game files making the default maxis eyes show up instead of your custom eyes.

Fix 2 – Use the TS4 Default Replacement Fixer

If you’re not using Luumia, then install the TS4 Default Replacement Fixer, a dedicated mod that fixes the default eyes issue, and other eyebrows, and makeup problems caused by the Sims 4 June 2020 patch.

You can get the mod and read more about it on ModTheSims.

Fix 3 – Download default eyes

Other users suggested that downloading another pair of default eyes alongside other non-default eyes made custom eyes show up again.

Try this method as well and tell us if it worked for you.

If nothing worked for you, check if this is a known bug affecting recent Sims 4 updates and let EA know about it.

We hope something helps.
