Dribbling is very different in FIFA 23 compared to previous game versions. HyperMotion 2 brings new dribbling animations to the table making the gameplay more immersive than ever.
The responsiveness and visual quality of dribbling are on another level. FIFA 22’s Agile Dribbling system was a game changer indeed, but wait until you see what the new Technical Dribbling system can do.
To perform a Technical Dribbling action in FIFA 23 simply use the Left Stick.
Elite dribblers can change directions much more quickly. You’ll also notice that dribbling animations get interrupted when players move in a different direction.
For example, when you point to the right side, you can almost instantly switch to the left. The game will interrupt the dribbling animation when changing directions.
This creates a body feint motion where players basically shift their weight from one side to the other.
How to improve Technical Dribbling in FIFA 23
The quality of the dribble depends on the player’s Dribbling Attributes.
The following Attributes influence your players’ dribbling abilities:
- Dribbling and Ball Control: These attributes affect the dribble touch precision or how close the ball can stay to the dribbler
- Dribbling, Agility, and Reactions: These attributes dictate how quickly animations play out
- Dribbling and Reactions: These attributes affect how much speed players maintain while dribbling
- Dribbling, Agility, Balance, and Reactions: These attributes dictate how quickly the dribbler can transition between different dribbling animations
The higher these Attributes, the better your dribbling skills.
How to counter the new dribbling system in FIFA 23
The improved ML-Jockey system is your best bet when it comes to countering the new Technical Dribbling system.
As a quick reminder, jockeying is an advanced defending strategy that allows you to quickly change direction to counter strikers’ attacks.
You can trigger quick and smooth lateral moves to prevent strikers from getting near your goalie.
Enjoy the game!
