How to keep clean sheets in FIFA games

Keeping clean sheets in FIFA games means preventing the opposing team from scoring goals. In other words, you give up no goals in that match.

Achieving clean sheets is very difficult. But with the right strategy and a bit of effort, your goalie can finish the match without conceding a goal.

If you want to keep clean sheets in FIFA, get the best goalkeeper and defensive players and use a 4-5-1 defensive formation. This formation will prevent the opposing team’s strikers from getting near your goalkeeper.

At the same time, it gives you the opportunity to score a goal on the counterattack.

If your possession tops 60%, chances are you should be able to keep a clean sheet.

Additionally, make sure your players are in the correct positions. Ensure the back four are where they’re supposed to be.

Hold LT when defending to jockey the ball. Have your defenders track the strikers of the opposite team at a safe 3-5 m distance and prevent them from getting near the box.

Jockeying allows you to better control your defenders’ distance and react quicker than usual.

Getting consistent clean sheets is impossible

Once again, keeping clean sheets is not easy. Often, AI-controlled players start dribbling like crazy when only 10 or 15 minutes are left until the end of the match.

They start using lightning-fast passes that look like they’re playing on fast-forward.

It’s like the game completely forgets you’re human and can’t react as fast as AI-controller players.

Don’t worry if you can’t get more than a handful of clean sheets. The game is rigged so that AI-controlled players get to score at least a few goals.

You may be dominating the entire game but before the game ends, the ball may start to bounce funny and the opposite team’s strikers will find a way to score.

Enjoy the game!
