Your Elden Ring character may sometimes get a gold-like aura around them. After a while, that yellow glow disappears on its own. But why does it appear in the first place? Does it grant your character special skills or powers? Let’s find out!
Why does my character have a yellow aura around them in Elden Ring?
In Elden Ring, the yellow aura around your character is a buff that indicates you’ll get extra Runes from killing enemies. The glow around your character is a temporary buff that appears only when the Erdtree’s leaves are falling.
Aim to defeat as many enemies as possible during this time. Make the most of the opportunity when the tree starts shedding its leaves.
The glow will disappear on its own after a short while.
What does the Erdtree do in Elden Ring?
The Erdtree is a huge luminous tree that draws its power from the Elden Ring. It is the source and life of The Lands Between. It used to bestow a golden aura upon people representing its grace.
Unfortunately, the Elden Ring, the source of the Erdtree’s power, has been shattered. As a result, the tree has lots its power.
The inhabitants of The Lands Between have been exiled after losing the blessing of Grace that the Elden Ring granted them through the Erdtree.
And that’s pretty much all we know about the Erdtree and the mysterious yellow aura.
