Elden-Ring-ray-tracing

Elden Ring is an amazing game but there’s something missing from the picture, and that’s ray tracing. This technology can produce realistic lightning effects further immersing players into the gameplay.

Does Elden Ring support ray tracing?

Elden Ring does not currently support ray tracing. Bandai Namco has officially confirmed that Elden Ring is set to receive ray tracing support in a future update. This feature will come to compatible PCs and current-gen gaming consoles.

The company explained that:

Timing for the implementation of ray tracing, which is planned to be supported after the launch, will be revealed in future announcements.

Ray tracing is becoming common standard for modern games and Elden Ring will soon join the bandwagon. This technology will significantly improve the game’s visual performance.

Bandai Namco has yet to reveal the exact date when ray tracing will be available in the game. The devs are probably busy working on ironing out the bugs identified after the launch.

Elden Ring ray tracing won’t be available on PS4 consoles. This feature is only supported on PS5 models. Xbox Series X will probably be the only Xbox model supporting ray tracing when this feature comes to Elden Ring.
