Volcano Manor is a group of individuals that constantly target and kill those who disagree with them. At a given moment, you’re invited to join this faction. The question is: should you do it or politely refuse their invitation? Let’s find out!
Should I join Volcano Manor in Elden Ring?
You should definitely join Volcano Manor as this gives you the opportunity to unlock unique items such as Crepus’s Vial Talisman which eliminates all sound made by your footsteps. Not joining Volcano Manor means missing out on some unique items and armor sets. Rest assured, the Volcano Manor questline doesn’t affect Elden Ring’s main story or endings in any way.
What happens if I join Volcano Manor?
After joining Volcano Manor, you’ll be giving three assassination tasks. You’ll need to assassinate other Tarnished to gain the favor of Lady Tanith. Accepting the assassination tasks may go against the Guidance of Grace but this questline has absolutely zero consequences on the main story. Complete your missions, unlock the rewards and move on without feeling guilty.
After your first assassination, you’ll unlock Elden Ring’s Scaled Armor set, a unique armor with pretty good defensive stats.
Defeating Rileigh the Idle will reward you with the Crepus’s Vial Talisman. Use this item to eliminate footstep sound and infiltrate enemy locations without being detected.
At the end, you should kill Lady Tanith as well. Finish her off while she’s feeding on Rykard’s corpse. After killing Tanith, her Knight will invade you. Kill him and he’ll drop the Aspect of the Crucible: Breath. You can use this Incantation to throw fire while walking.
If you’re a completionist, you should definitely accept the invitation and join Volcano Manor.
