I can’t plan my Sim’s wedding event in The Sims 4

If your Sims are engaged and ready to get married officially, you can start planning the wedding. Select the venue, choose the dress for the bride, order a wedding cake or bake one yourself, and get all the details ready.

But sometimes, the game doesn’t let you plan the wedding event. Let’s explore what’s preventing you from doing that and how you can solve the problem.

Why can’t I plan a wedding in The Sims 4?

If the option to plan a wedding in Sims 4 is unavailable, check if your Sims have a romantic relationship with other Sims. If this is the case, ask those Sims to be just friends. Then try to plan the wedding event again and check if the option is available.

Also, if one of your Sims is in University Housing when you’re trying to plan the wedding event, this is due to University Housing rules.

More specifically, if your Sim enters University accommodation as not engaged, they must leave as one.

If getting married is more important than graduating with honors, you can simply drop out of university.

Make sure both Sims are in the same world and available for the wedding when you’re trying to plan the event.

If one of them is at work, this means they’re not available for any wedding-related activities and you can’t plan the wedding.

Additionally, check if the other partner can plan the wedding instead. Many Simmers confirmed this quick workaround did the trick for them. Let’s hope it works for you as well.

Conclusion

If you can’t plan a wedding in Sims 4, check if your Sims have a romantic relationship with other Sims and ask them to be just friends. Then, make sure both Sims are in the same world and available for the wedding. Additionally, check if the other partner can plan the wedding.

If one of your Sims entered University Housing as not engaged, they must leave University accommodation as one. Only then can you plan the event.
