What is Econ Rating in Valorant?

Econ Rating is an indicator that confirms the amount of damage players inflicted on their enemies per 1,000 credits spent.

Let’s take an example. If you spend 3000 credits and you deal 300 damage, you Econ rating is 100. This indicator could play an important role in skill based match making in the future. Players with a similar Econ Rating could be matched against gamers who are on the same level.

Riot offers the following description of Econ Rating:

[Econ Rating is] calculated as damage dealt per 1,000 creds spent. Higher values signify higher efficiency. Good economic play is important, but spend to win!

How Can I Improve my Valorant Econ Rating?

The simplest way to improve your Econ Rating is by dealing as much damage as you possibly can per 1,000 credits spent. The key is to play it safe and learn to know your opponents.

Stay in the shadows and watch them for a while. Then strike at the best possible moment. If you adopt an aggressive and risky style, you’ll quickly get killed and you won’t be of great use to your team.

What Is A Good Econ Rating?

Players with an Econ Rating above 70 are top players. Average players have an Econ Rating of 55 to 70. An Econ Rating between 40 and 50 indicates you’re a player who needs to gain more experience and polish your skills. Any Econ Rating below 40 indicates you’re a beginner and you need to earn more experience.

Keep in mind that a low Econ Rating does not mean the world has ended. Valorant uses multiple factors for evaluating players’ performance. Even if you’ve still got a lot to learn when it comes to managing your team’s economy, but you took a decisive action that helped your team win, you’ll still get a good player rating.

And now you know.
