The Floral and Square Design Round wedding cakes cost 150 Simoleons, while the Hexagon and Pillow cakes are the priciest, priced at $225 each.

If you don’t have My Wedding Stories installed, your Sim needs to bake their own wedding cake using a fridge and an oven.
Your Sim doesn’t need any special cooking skills to prepare a wedding cake, the recipe is a simple one and it’s on the list of foods you can make even if your Sim doesn’t have any experience in the kitchen.

Steps to bake a wedding cake in The Sims 4
- Click on the fridge > go to Cook and choose a white cake.
- Your Sim should now be baking the cake.
- Once the cake is ready, place it in the center of the table.
- Click on the cake and then select the option Add Wedding Topper to make it look like a genuine wedding cake.
Keep in mind that only a bride can remove the topper so make sure there is one around when you bring the cake on the scene.
How to take the first slice of wedding cake in The Sims 4
Only the bride or the groom has the option to take out the first slice of the wedding cake. Select the bride or groom, click on the wedding cake, and then click on Take a Piece.
Should the option Take a piece to be grayed out, move the cake to a different surface.

Why you should not trust the caterer to bake your wedding cake
The game also offers the option to have the caterer take care of your wedding cake. Too many gamers complained the caterer absolutely ruined their Sims’ wedding. They either delivered something else or forgot to make the cake altogether.
As a result, gamers had to reload the most recent save and do it again — this time, cooking the wedding cake themselves.
