Tomarang in The Sims 4: For Rent is a vibrant world, blending dense housing with lively businesses. With a lush tropical backdrop and a dynamic city skyline, this world draws inspiration from Southeast Asian countries and boasts nine active lots.

Thanks to collaboration with Jason Chu, an Asian-American rapper and cultural expert, the For Rent Expansion Pack captures the essence of Southeast Asian culture.

You can dive into various community activities that reflect this unique blend of tradition and modernity.

Tomarang: A mix of City Life and Nature

The map of Tomarang is divided into two parts: Morensong and Koh Sahpa.

Morensong is all modern with lots of businesses and city-style buildings.

In Morensong, you’ll find a starter home called Taka Soi 15, where you can live with one of the pre-made families that owns that lot.

Additionally, there’s ZoSul Taman Botani, a botanical garden on the side. You can take walks in the garden and even go on dates.

Another residential option is Ro Kaya RockSide, an empty lot that you can build upon.

Koh Sahpa is a different story—more nature vibes with hills, a river slicing through, and a lush green scene with plenty of trees.

There are two empty lots for you to build your residential rentals upon.

You’ll also find a residential lot for a pre-made family, Bun Ma, and another residential rental called The Screaming Gecko.

The Sungai Point residence is occupied by the Linh-Sadya family.

As you can see, you have the option to either build your residential rental or move into one of the existing residential rentals as a tenant.

Need a break from city life?

Head to the botanical gardens or an animal sanctuary. Sims can chill out, watch koi fish do their thing, and soak in the beauty of lotus flowers. Nice and relaxing vibes.

Don’t forget the Spirit House, where you can leave Incense or Fruit offerings.

And for the little ones, the park offers classic games like Hopscotch and Marbles.

The waterfall and overlook in Tomarang are the most breathtaking and romantic spots in this world.

Tomarang kind of feels like the San Sequoia map and has this Eco-Living vibe mixed with an older map.

Tomarang Lot Sizes

The-Sims-4-Tomarang

Tomarang features 9 active lots, with the breakdown as follows: two lots sized 20×15, three lots sized 20×20, two lots sized 30×20, one lot sized 30×30, and one larger lot sized 40×30.

Players were hoping for at least bigger lot sizes.

They didn’t mind the number of lots, but they were hoping for larger lots to accommodate more buildings, house more families, and include amenities like a pool.

Low-end computers might have a hard time handling big lots with many occupants.

Picking smaller lots was probably a smart move to make this expansion pack run better for console players on Xbox and older systems.

But hey, it is what it is. What do you think about the new world of Tomarang? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
