Vampires can eat human food in The Sims 4 but their Thirst won’t be satisfied. They need to drink Plasma to satisfy their thirst for blood. The Thirst meter doesn’t move when they eat regular food.
In other words, vampires don’t gain any nutritional value from eating human food.
Depending on your vampire’s weaknesses, eating human food can be a really bad idea.
Vampires with a Withered Stomach will feel sick and nauseous after eating human food.
The bad news is that vampires with Withered Stomachs will often grab human food autonomously. They keep on going to the fridge to grab leftovers although they have no reason to eat human food.
Of course, this makes them feel very uncomfortable for a few hours. But the most annoying part is that they keep grabbing human food even after feeling sick from eating it.
This unexpected behavior typically affects vampires that have the Glutton trait.
Vampires that get too thirsty may get enraged and won’t be able to control their thirst. They’ll seek out a nearby Sim to drink some blood and satisfy their thirst.
If you keep feeding human food to your vampires and deprive them of Plasma, that’s bound to happen.
Use Plasma Fruit to cook fruit recipes
Did you know that vampires can cook and eat human dishes provided that they use a special key ingredient?
Any recipe that requires fruit can be made with Plasma Fruit. This means that your vampires can make Plasma Fruit pancakes, cobblers, and other delicious recipes that include fruit. Just make sure their fridge is stocked with Plasma Fruit.
That’s another excellent reason to add a kitchen to your vampire’s house.
By the way, you need to reach Level 8 of the Vampire Lore skill to be able to purchase Plasma Fruit from any computer. Simply click on Vampire Secrets and purchase the fruit for 300 Simoleons.
If you don’t want to spend any money on Plasma Fruit, you can find a Plasma Fruit tree growing wild in Forgotten Hollow, harvest the fruit, and then use your Gardening skill to grow your own Plasma Fruit tree.
Happy Simming!
