If your toddler is always sad in The Sims 4, check if they’re walking around with a dirty diaper and change it. Toddlers aren’t very good at expressing their needs. That’s why you must always try to anticipate their needs.
Check if your toddler has any particular wishes and try to fulfill them.
If you still can’t pinpoint what’s making your toddler feel sad, hang a Happy painting on the wall. Click on the painting and enable its emotional aura.
That should make your toddler happy.
What makes toddlers sad in The Sims 4?
Toddlers are often sad when they wake up from a nightmare, or their parents leave for work.
Read them to sleep to keep nightmares at bay. Getting a job that lets you work from home is a good idea.
Toddlers can also get sad when they need to sleep. Give them a good night’s rest, and they should wake up happy.
Toddlers with the Charmer trait will get sad if they don’t socialize with other Sims. Interact with them regularly and they should be fine.
⇒ Quick Tip:
Keep some apples in your toddler’s inventory and have them eat one when they get sad. They’ll get a Happy buff from eating a harvestable which should override the Sad moodlet.
Alternatively, you can simply spam the Friendly and Funny interactions until you manage to put a smile on your toddler’s face.
Happy Simming!
