Being able to control your emotions is an important trait in The Sims 4. Toddlers, kids, and teens may sometimes have a hard time controlling their emotional reactions.

As a parent, you can teach them to better control their emotions and successfully deal with stressful situations.

How do I teach kids emotional control in The Sims 4?

The best way to teach a Sim how to control their emotions is to have them write in a journal, play an instrument and go for a jog to clear their mind.

Teens can jog to relieve stress. Running gives them positive emotions and keeps them fit.

Writing in a journal gives them the Writing skill. Have them write in it no matter their mood.

Learning how to play an instrument can be quite handy, especially if your Sims want to become famous when they grow up.

In other words, you hit two birds with one stone. Your Sims can do something to relieve stress and level up their skills at the same time.

You can also play classical music on the radio. Click on the radio and select the option that reads Wind down with Classical.

You can have kids and teens listen to classical music while they’re doing their homework. This will also help them get better grades.

How do you cheat emotional control in The Sims 4?

You can also get the ability to control your emotions through cheats. Press Shift, Ctrl, and C to open the cheat console. Then, type in testingcheats on to enable cheat commands.

Type in stats.set_stat lifeSkillStatistic_EmotionalControl 100 and hit Enter.

What is the Uncontrolled Emotions trait in The Sims 4?

Sims with the Uncontrolled Emotions trait will frequently experience strong negative emotions. They’ll also have a hard time calming down and getting rid of negative emotions.

Sims will suffer a major emotional breakdown if too many negative emotions stack up.
