What does the Shadow Realm Drink do?
The Shadow Realm drink is a special drink available in The Sims 4 base game that can increase the chances of a dead Sim getting revived. If this drink is around when the Grim Reaper comes to reap the soul of a dead Sim, he will take a sip of it and then revive the dead Sim instead.
In other words, if the Reaper comes for a Sim and the Shadow Realm drink is available, he will drink it instead of reaping.
You don’t have to offer the Shadow Realm drink to the Grim Reaper. If it’s lying around nearby, the Reaper will help himself.
After drinking, the Reaper will leave black puddles everywhere.

A Level 10 Mixologist can make the Shadow Realm drink. You must have a Death Flower in your inventory to be able to mix it.
What happens if my Sim takes a sip of the Shadow Realm drink?
Nothing happens if your Sim takes a sip of the Shadow Realm drink. This drink is for the Grim Reaper. It doesn’t do anything special for normal Sims.
Your Sim will get the “Smooth Sipping” Happy moodlet from drinking the Shadow Realm drink.
Apart from that buff, there are no other extraordinary outcomes from drinking the Shadow Realm drink in The Sims 4.
