EA and Maxis regularly roll out new Sims 4 updates that add important improvements and new features to the table. These updates also patch existing bugs.
The Sims 4 Patch Day schedule
EA rolls out new Sims 4 updates and patches every third Tuesday of the month. The event is commonly known as Sims 4 Patch Day and begins at 10 AM PT. That’s 1 PM ET or 6 PM BST.
The game usually receives one major update per month. In rare cases, if something urgent needs to be fixed, EA may roll out two updates: the first one usually lands on the first Tuesday of the month, while the second update goes live on the third Tuesday of the month.
Was there a Sims 4 update today?
To check if EA has rolled out a new Sims 4 update, launch Origin, go to My Game Library, right-click on The Sims 4, and select Update Game. You can also read more about the latest Sims 4 updates on EA’s official blog.
Go to the News section, and check out what’s new in the latest updates.
Sims 4 patches and updates are delivered via Origin. The game downloads and installs the latest updates automatically unless you disable this option.
It is worth mentioning that online features are unavailable until you’ve installed the latest Sims 4 updates.

Update-related issues
