As of September 2025, there are 28 worlds available in The Sims 4. Three of them (Newcrest, Willow Creek, and Oasis Springs) are available in the base game.
You can unlock new worlds by purchasing specific expansion packs and game packs.
The following Sims 4 expansion packs add new worlds to the game:

The best part is that Sims from different worlds can meet, so don’t be afraid to use the Travel option if you want to meet someone special.
Some packs also come with secret lots or secret worlds.
Where are the secret worlds in The Sims 4?
There are seven hidden worlds in the Sims 4:
- Sylvan Glade
- The Forgotten Grotto
- The Deep Woods
- Planet Sixam
- Cave of Sulani
- The Magic Realm
- Mt. Komorebi Upper Mountain
Sylvan Glade and The Forgotten Grotto
Sylvan Glade and The Forgotten Grotto are available in The Sims 4 base game. You can find hidden fishing spots at these locations. Use them to catch rare fish.
To access Sylvan Glade, go near the Crick Cabana lot in Willow Creek, and locate the big tree with glowing mushrooms. That’s the secret passage to Sylvan Glade.
To access The Forgotten Grotto, go to Oasis Springs, and visit the Desert Bloom Park. Locate the abandoned mine on the hill, and use your Handiness skill to break the mine entrance.
The Deep Woods
The Deep Woods comes with the Outdoor Retreat game pack. Go to Granite Falls, explore the forest and locate the funny-looking shrub hole near the cabin.
To enter The Deep Woods, click on the shrub hole, select Step Forward, Go Through the Web, Ignore the Object and Approach the Sim to talk to the Hermit.
Sixam
Planet Sixam comes with the Get to Work expansion pack. To access this secret lot, you need to use a wormhole generator. Sixam is inhabited by aliens.
The Cave of Sulani
The Cave of Sulani is available for players who installed Island Living. You can find rare shells in the cave, as well as Mermaid Kelp. You can use this plant to turn your Sim into a mermaid.
The Magic Realm
As its name suggests, The Magic Realm secret world comes with the Realm of Magic game pack. To access this world, go to Glimmerbrook, and visit the empty starter lot.
There’s a waterfall behind the lot. That’s the portal that will take you to The Magic Realm.
Mt. Komorebi Upper Mountain
Mt. Komorebi Upper Mountain comes with Snowy Escape. To access this secret location, go to the bathhouse in Yukimatsu. Launch the mountain excursion event, and keep climbing the mountain until you reach the top.
Do any Sims 4 stuff packs come with worlds?
Sims 4 stuff packs don’t come with new worlds. Only expansion packs and game packs add new worlds to the game.
Stuff packs typically add new CAS items such as new outfits and hairstyles, as well as new items to build and decorate your house. They play a purely aesthetic role.
