The Overachiever trait in Sims 4 | Upsides and downsides

Sims-4-Overachiever-trait

Sims that have the Overachiever trait typically level up their skills faster and get the Happy buff after finishing their school or work tasks. They’re always good at anything they try.

However, they’re not the friendliest of Sims. Getting along with them as friends is not that easy.

This is because leveling up their skills and getting work done is more important to them than developing strong close friendships with other Sims.

Their top priority is completing their aspiration milestones. Having a long list of friends is not that important.

Building academic success as an Overachiever

Sims that have the Overachiever trait will have an easier time getting good grades and building academic success. This is a great trait to have if you’re planning to send your Sim to university.

Getting A grades at university will be a walk in the park for them.

As a quick reminder, your teenage Sim can apply to university while still in high school. The higher their skill level, the higher their chances of getting accepted.

The Overachiever trait will influence your Sim’s life and success even after graduation. It will help them perform better at work and earn career promotions faster.

Romantic relationships

These Sims are not interesting in building deep romantic relationships. They’d very much prefer having a stable Woohoo Partner than investing time and effort into romantic relationships.

Spice up your gameplay with the Troublemaker and Overachiever combo

If you want to build a really interesting story that won’t get you bored, create a Sim family with two teenagers where one of them is the main troublemaker while the other is the overachiever.

The contrast between these two characters will definitely make your gameplay much more interesting.

Playing with an overachiever Sim may sometimes make your gameplay way too linear and potentially boring after a while. Add an element of mischief to make your gameplay more fun.

You can take Molly Prescott as an example of a troublemaker and Sidney Price as an example of an overachiever.

Happy gaming!
