If your teenage Sim has the Overachiever trait, they need lots of challenges. Getting good grades is not enough for them. They want to excel at after-school activities too and prove they can succeed at anything they try.

How can I join after-school activities in Sims 4 High School Years?

Alternatively, you can also walk up to a club member on campus and ask them to give you more information about the club they’re in.

NPCs will often approach you and try to convince you to join their club. They’ll be waving at you all the time trying to promote their clubs and recruit new members.

After joining a specific club, you’ll need to regularly meet with the other team members and work together to level up your skills.

Click on the Career tab to check your schedule. You don’t want to miss any club meet-ups.

Are after-school activities paid in Sims 4?

After-school activities are unpaid in The Sims 4. Your Sim won’t earn any money by joining the Chess, Football, Computer, or Cheer team.

However, participating in after-school activities allows you to level up important skills that will come in handy when your teenage Sim ages up into adulthood.

For example, if you want your teenage Sim to become a programmer, join the Computer Team to level up their programming skills from an early age.

You can’t join an after-school activity and have a part-time job

Teenage Sims cannot join an after-school activity and work a part-time job simultaneously. After-school activities are part-time hobbies that won’t leave you too much free time. Getting a part-time job is incompatible with after-school activities.

It’s either one or the other. If your Sim is already enrolled in an after-school club, they’ll need to quit their current position to start a part-time job.

If your teenage Sim wants to make money, the Simfluencer and video game streamer careers are much more lucrative than regular part-time jobs.
