Does Sims 4 High School Years support yearbooks?

The Sims 4 High School Years expansion pack does not support yearbooks. You can’t manually create a yearbook and the game won’t automatically generate one either.

Before the pack was officially released, the devs teased Simmers with a yearbook of well-known NPCs in their teenage years.

Each character had a quote under their yearbook photo.

Bob Pancakes: “When is this due again?”

Bella Bachelor: “Still haven’t met a blonde that had more fun than me”.

Eliza Hastings: “I’m going to create a business that is SO perfect even the Langraabs will want to be a part of it.”

Nancy Langraab: “Don’t follow your dreams. Follow the Simoleons.”

Interestingly, Nancy Langraab had a much bigger nose in her teenage years. This suggests she had her nose done.

Seeing other famous NPCs such as Eliza and Geoffrey with their original last names made many Simmers smile.

The yearbook that the devs uploaded to Twitter got Simmers hyped up and made them think the game would support this feature.

Unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case.

Why are there no yearbooks in Sims 4 High School Years?

Most likely, the devs had intended to add yearbooks to the game but the feature didn’t get into the final product.

The decision to skip the yearbook feature was probably taken due to budget or time-related limitations.

Yearbooks typically reflect the lives of the people that graduated in a given year. It’s a treasured memory of high school years.

Let’s not lose hope.

EA may add yearbooks later in an update to the base game.

Fingers crossed!
