The Sims 4 High School Years expansion pack brings many new clothing options to the table. Unfortunately, Copperdale High doesn’t have school uniforms. There are no in-game settings to set up a uniform dress code at school.
However, there are plenty of uniform-like clothing options in CAS that allow you to create your very own uniform-like look.
How can I create high-school uniforms in Sims 4?
To create a high-school uniform look in The Sims 4, go to CAS, and select the High-School Years clothing items. Then, select one of the classic blazers and pair them with a pair of pants of the same color to create a school-uniform look.
Once again, there is no in-game option to make other teens wear the same outfit as your Sim.
But you can use social media to convince more Sims to wear the same outfit.
Use Trendi to make your uniform-style outfit popular
If your teenage Sim is a Simfluencer, they can share their outfits on Social Bunny and Trendi and create some hype around them. You can also use Trendi to create uniform-style outfits and sell them.
If you’re successful on Trendi, you may see townies wearing your outfits. That’s how much you can influence the town of Copperdale.
If you’re lucky, you may even see some of your high school colleagues wearing your outfits in the hallways.
As you can see, while the Sims 4 High School Years pack doesn’t support uniforms, you can use CAS clothing items to create outfits that resemble school uniforms.
By the way, having your Sims wear high-school uniforms is a great way to make them look more like teenagers. Many Simmers have complained about teenagers looking more like young adults than teens.
Why I’m not having teenage Sims wear uniforms
Some people love uniforms, others hate them. I still hate them to this day.
I went to a public high school where they required wearing a uniform.
We had black and white uniforms and they were really uncomfortable. Not to mention they prevented us from expressing our personality.
The idea of uniforms doesn’t bring back good memories to me. That’s why I’m not planning on having my Sims wear uniform-style outfits.

I’d like to have the option to set a school uniform (as well as uniforms for the different after school activates). 99% of my school time I didn’t have to wear a school uniform and the few times I had to (for special events in the first high school I went to) I didn’t like it because I thought it was ugly (it wasn’t like what you see in movies). For my sims, I’d like to have the option to choose. In some saves I might want uniforms, in some I might want them to be free of it. What is annoying me right now is that the students who show up in uniform or activity outfits don’t wear the same colors. It looks like the school has several football teams. I just want some way of controlling it. I think giving the players the option to choose, would be nice.
