Joining the Cheerleading Squad is one of the coolest after-school activities in The Sims 4 High School Years. You’ll start as a Cheerleading Fresh Recruit. As you level up your fitness skill and practice your cheerleading moves, you can become the captain of the Cheer Team.

Cheerleading Fresh Recruit requirements

To complete the Cheerleading Fresh Recruit milestone, you need to reach Level 2 of the Fitness skill and regularly practice your cheerleading moves on the cheer mat.

You can level up your Fitness skill by jogging, running on the treadmill, working out at the gym, and using punching bags.

To practice cheerleading on your cheer mat, enter Build & Buy Mode and purchase the School Spirit Solo Cheer Mat. Place it on your lot, click on it and select Perform Solo Routine.

Alternatively, you can have your Sim travel to Copperdale High, click on the cheer training area, and select Practice solo routine. But this is a time-consuming method.

Practicing cheer will also increase your Fitness skill when you’re at a low level. The more you practice, the better you become at cheerleading.

⇒ Main Takeaway: Level up your Fitness skill and practice your cheerleading moves regularly.

After a lot of hard work and patience, your teenage Sim will get promoted to Cheerleading Teammate. This means they’re a permanent member of the Cheer Squad.

The Cheerleading Teammate milestone brings the following requirements: reach Level 4 of the Fitness skill and practice cheer with a cheer mat.

To speed up the process, level up your Fitness skill from the get-go. Even if the first milestone requires you to reach Level 2 of the Fitness skill, you can go beyond that.

The higher your Fitness skill, the better your cheerleading moves will be. If you’re at a low Fitness level, you’ll often slip on the cheer mat.

You need to practice your cheerleading moves on the mat every day. If you skip practice, your performance will drop. As a result, you’ll need more time to become the captain of the team.

Additionally, make sure to attend the Cheerleading competitions that take place at Copperdale High. They’re a great opportunity to show off your skills and practice your cheerleading moves.

⇒ Quick Tip: Practice cheerleading while in a positive mood to speed up your progress.

Happy gaming!
