Sims can get pregnant and have a baby while enrolled in University. Getting pregnant and having a baby won’t kick you out of University. You’ll still be able to attend classes.
However, if you’re living in University Housing, you’ll be forced to move to a location where you to take better care of your baby.
You’ll get a notification that invites you to move out.
Your Sim will soon be welcoming a new baby into her life! As her current university housing doesn’t have the necessary resources to give the child the best care, your Sim should spend some time packing up her stuff and find a better place for her and her upcoming baby to live.
You can’t live with the baby in the University dorm. To work your way around this limitation, you can attend University from your home lot.
Alternatively, you can convert the campus house into a Standard Residential lot. Your Sims can then live there while attending University.
Basically, they will be attending uni from home. The only difference is that their home is located on Campus.
If your Sim gets pregnant while attending University, you won’t be able to sign up for a second term. The game will block this option if your Sim is expecting.
If you still want your Sim to be a young parent, she can get pregnant after the last term begins.
Since she’ll be graduating soon, you don’t have to sign her up for a new term.
⇒ Quick Tip:
If you have MCCC, you can pause the pregnancy. Your Sim will stay in the dorm, and her pregnancy will be paused until she graduates. You can then unpause the pregnancy.
Doing well in classes requires a lot of time and effort. Student life is super busy, especially if you’re working hard to earn your Distinguished Degree.
The workload University classes take is huge. Taking care of a baby is exhausting.
But if this sounds like a great challenge for you, go for it.
By the way, did you know there are certain things that pregnant Sims can’t do?
⇒ Fun Fact:
- You can’t change a baby’s name in The Sims 4. You need to wait until they’re toddlers to edit their name in CAS.
Happy Simming!
