To get more than three traits in The Sims 4, you need to use the MCCC or More Traits in CAS mods. To install these mods, simply drop the mod files into your Mods folder.
Additional traits will give your Sim’s personality more depth.
By the way, if you no longer like your Sim’s traits, you can quickly change them in CAS. You can also use the ReTraiting Potion to edit your Sim’s traits.
If you don’t want to use mods, you can purchase the Growing Together expansion pack. The self-discovery system from this pack allows Sims to unlock three additional personality traits.
How to use MCCC to add more traits to your Sim
The MC Command Center mod lets you add more than three traits to your Sim’s personality.
After downloading and installing MCCC on your computer, you need to enable Debug Commands in Cheats to add extra personality traits to your Sim.
To do that:
- Click on your computer
- Select MC Command Center
- Go to MCCC Settings
- Select Notification/Console/Menu Settings
- Click on Console Command Settings
- Go to Debug Commands in Cheats
- Enable this option
Follow the steps below to add more traits to your Sim using MCCC:
- Enable the Cheats Console by typing testingcheats true in the cheat bar
- Press and hold the Shift key, and click on your Sim
- Select Cheat Sim Info
- Click on Add trait
- Select the traits you want to add

How to use More Traits in CAS mod in The Sims 4
With the help of the More Traits in CAS mod, adult Sims can have five personality traits, teens can have four, children three, and toddlers can have two traits.
After installing this mod, go to CAS and you’ll notice you have one or two additional trait slots.
Keep in mind that you do not need to fill all of the five trait slots if you do not want to. If you want your Sim to have fewer traits, leave one trait slot empty.
