If you want to become a Grand Master Vampire in The Sims 4, you need to level up your Vampire Lore skill. After reaching Level 5 of the Vampire Lore skill, you can make Garlic Braids, Garlic Wreaths, and Garlic Garlands using raw garlic to progress to the next level.
But how do you do that? And where can you find garlic?
Let’s find out!
Where can I find garlic in The Sims 4?
You can find raw garlic everywhere in Forgotten Hollow. Wild garlic plants grow behind Garliclauter Place. That’s the large uninhabited house in Forgotten Hollow.
In a new game, you may need to wait for a few hours for the garlic plants to grow. Multiple visits may be required until you find a garlic plant ready to harvest.
Garlic plants typically grow to the next stage at 5 AM.
If your vampire Sim is too uncomfortable to harvest garlic, you can use cheats to make them Happy. Simply enable cheats, shift-click on your Vampire, select Cheat Need and click on Make Happy.
Click again on the garlic plant and the Harvest option should be available now.
Order garlic seeds
You can also order garlic seeds on the computer. Each pack has two garlic seeds that you can plant to grow your own garlic plants.
No Vampire Lore skill is needed to purchase garlic seeds but this method can be quite expensive.
Use cheats to get garlic
Alternatively, you can enable cheats, type in bb.showhiddenobjects, and then search for garlic in Buy Mode.
If you don’t like the idea of using cheats, you can open the Gallery and download a room full of garlic plants or garlic decorations.
Vampires see a green mist around garlic
Vampires will see a green smelly mist around garlic plants even if they’re in great shape and harvestable. The visual effect is similar to the one you get when a plant is dying.
Rest assured, there’s nothing wrong with your garlic plants. It’s just that vampires can “see” the smell of garlic.
The green mist will show even if your vampire has the Garlic Immunity perk.
If you run an experiment and turn your vampire into a normal Sim, the smelly mist will disappear.
Stay away from garlic if you don’t have Garlic Immunity
Vampires that have yet to unlock the Garlic Immunity power will become uncomfortable and get the Garlic Stench Misery from being near garlic.
If they eat garlic, they’ll get the Grossed out by Garlic moodlet which makes them feel very uncomfortable.
And that’s not all.
They can’t drink plasma or feed on Sims in the presence of garlic.
Use garlic to fight against vampires
You can successfully use garlic to fight against vampires. Place garlic at the door or plant garlic plants around your lot to keep vampires at bay.
You can keep garlic in your Sim’s inventory just in case you bump into a vampire.
Needless to say, if that vampire has unlocked the Garlic Immunity power, you can no longer rely on garlic to keep them at bay.
Happy Simming!
