In The Sims 4: Enchanted by Nature, fairies are introduced as a new occult life state, bringing a blend of magic, nature, and emotional gameplay.
How Sims Become Fairies in Innisgreen
Your Sims can learn how to become a fairy in a few ways. They can read books at the museum, chat with locals around Innisgreen, or even talk directly to fairies.
Becoming a fairy isn’t instant or handed out easily. There’s some actual gameplay behind it.
To start the process, Sims need a Fairy Seedling. Sometimes, kind fairies will give one as a gift. If not, Sims can also buy them.
Once your Sim plants the seedling, Mother Nature appears. She can bless your Sim with Mother Nature’s charm.
This charm unlocks the ability for Sims to grow wings and turn into a fairy, which opens up all kinds of new magical gameplay options.
To finish the transformation, your Sim needs to bathe in Moondrop Springs —a mystical lake in Everdew.

If you change your mind, you can also reverse the process to give up fairy powers. Mother Nature will help remove the fairy essence if you want to go back to being a regular Sim.
Full-Fledged Fairy with a Toggleable Form
After bathing in the lake, your Sim becomes a full-fledged fairy. They get a fairy form, and the cool part is you can choose to show it off or keep it hidden.
Fairies are regular Sim-sized most of the time, but they shrink for some actions.
They can:
- Splash in the sink
- Sleep in dollhouses or on pianos (they just lie on the floor)
- Play inside random objects like mailboxes — though you won’t see them once they’re inside
There’s an option to conceal the wings and glow, so your fairy Sim can blend in or go full sparkle mode whenever you want.
Adult and Elder Fairies Get Bonuses
- Longer lifespans
- Social needs decay faster (so they stay fun and friendly)
- Learn the Natural Living skill faster than normal Sims
Fairy Wings Are Next-Level
Your Sim can keep the wings Mother Nature gives during the transformation, or you can head into CAS and pick from a ton of different styles. There’s something for every kind of fairy.

Customize Your Wings
You can even paint the wings by hand if you want full creative control. They look incredible, and the detail here is seriously impressive.
There are small, medium, and large sizes, and the styles range from soft and whimsical to full-on demonic horns-and-wings energy.
This is one area where the pack went all in. Wings feel like a big deal, and there’s more than enough variety to make each fairy Sim look unique.
Fairies Have a New Need: Emotional Force
Fairies don’t use hunger or bladder. Instead, they get a brand-new need called Emotional Force.
It drains slowly over time, but if you start using fairy powers, it drains a lot faster. And here’s the important part: if it hits zero, your Sim will die from emotional starvation.
Emotional Force Powers Limit
You need enough emotional force to use fairy powers. If the bar isn’t full, the powers won’t work.
For example, transforming a S
im into a fairy takes a lot of emotional force. The bar has to be full before you start, and the transformation drains it completely in one go.

How to Recharge Emotional Force
There are a few ways to top it back up:
- Absorb it from other Sims – This can give your Sim some strange moodlets depending on what they absorb.
- Use fairy dust – Found around the world or collected.
- Visit a Fairy Home – This is the easiest and most fun option.
Keep in mind, other Sims don’t always like having their emotions drained.
Fairy Homes are magical dwellings made just for fairies. Sims can:
- Regenerate Emotional Force
- Sleep
- Take magical baths
- Throw dance parties
The fairy homes are super cozy and magical, and they feel like the perfect spot for some romantic gameplay.

But nope—no WooHoo option in them right now. It’s a bit of a missed opportunity; it would’ve made sense to let Sims take things a step further in a place that’s built for fairies.
Maybe that’s something for a future patch or mod, but as it stands, no fairy WooHoo in fairy homes.
New Fairy WooHoo: WooHoo in the Sky
Even though fairy homes don’t support WooHoo, the pack does come with a brand-new WooHoo interaction just for fairies—and it’s honestly adorable.
It’s called WooHoo in the Sky. Both Sims shrink down into tiny fairies and float up into a glowing, magical heart mid-air. The whole animation is super sweet and fits the vibe perfectly.
Fairies can WooHoo with anyone. So you don’t need two fairies to trigger it. As long as one Sim is a fairy, they can take part.
New Fairy Aspiration: Fairy Stories
The pack adds a new aspiration called Fairy Stories, and it’s all about going through the full fairy journey—from discovering how to become one, to mastering fairy powers.
When your Sim finishes this aspiration, they unlock a reward trait called Into the Everdew. This gives them:
- Bonus VXP (Fairy XP for the ability tree)
- More fun from using fairy-related activities
Choose Your Fairy’s Path: Harmonious or Discordant
After completing the base aspiration, your Sim can pick one of two extended paths:
- Harmonious – Focused on being a kind, helpful fairy
- Discordant – Leans into mischief and chaos
Each path comes with its own branching goals and interactions. This adds a nice bit of long-term occult gameplay.

Fairy Flight Animations Change With Mood
One of the nicest little details in this pack is how fairies don’t all fly the same. Their flying animation changes based on their emotional state:
- Happy fairies float and bob around gracefully
- Angry or sad fairies kind of drag themselves through the air
- Pregnant fairies have a unique animation where they hold their belly while flying—super cute touch
Fairies Get Unique Social Interactions
Fairies come with a bunch of specific social interactions that help them stand out from other occults. They can do things like:
- Talk about wind colors
- Chat about flying
- Use different tones when speaking with non-occult Sims
Confine Fairies to Innisgreen
There’s an option in Game Settings to limit fairies just to Innisgreen. If you don’t want fairies in other worlds or don’t want to deal with the ailments, you can keep it simple.
Fairy Babies Come With Perks
Fairies can have kids, and there are some neat extras if both parents are fairies.
If two fairy Sims have a baby together, the child is born with the High Fae Lineage trait.
This gives a few solid perks:
- They earn fairy XP faster
- Their needs decay more slowly than regular Sims
- They get a custom fairy bassinet
Fairy babies don’t just drink milk. You can feed them emotional potions instead, which affect their moods.
Infants, toddlers, and children count as fairies in the game, but they don’t have visible wings or powers yet. Nothing happens until they hit the teen stage.
Fairy Kids Have Gameplay Perks
Even without visible powers, fairy kids do get some advantages:
- Learn skills faster than normal kids
- Hunger and bladder needs decay more slowly
Sometimes get an emotional struggles moodlet, making them break things when overwhelmed.
Older fairies can teach kids emotional regulation, which is a nice family moment and adds depth to occult gameplay.
