Vampires don’t need a kitchen in The Sims 4. They don’t need to eat. They have only four needs: Thirst, Hygiene, Social and Fun.
As you can see, Hunger is not on the list as it has been replaced by Thirst.
If your vampire has human friends that regularly come over and visit, you should add a small kitchen and bathroom in the house. Your vampire’s human friends can quickly grab something to eat and use the bathroom when they need to empty their bladder.
If you’re like me, and you like to keep a human Sim in the household as a permanent source of plasma for your vampire, then you should definitely add a kitchen.
Alternatively, you can use cheats to disable needs or slow down need decay and you won’t need a kitchen for your human Sim.
Or you can use Zoomers Food Delivery to cover their Hunger need.
Long story short, having a regular house with a kitchen and bathroom isn’t for your vampires. It’s for their guests.
As a quick reminder, vampires that have a Withered Stomach will get nauseous after eating human food.
What to put in your vampire’s house
Vampires don’t need to sleep or use the bathroom as often as regular Sims do.
You can freeze the Hygiene meter completely with the help of the Odourless perk. Thanks to this special power, your vampire Sim no longer needs to shower.
As a result, you can get rid of the bathroom.
Always think twice before filling your vampire’s house with a ton of stuff they probably won’t even use.
Make sure your vampire’s house reflects their personality. Add spider webs on the walls, and use purple wallpaper and other gothic home decor items.
If your vampire has many human friends, you can add an extra bedroom for them.
If you have a butler, avoid using spiderwebs and other similar decor items. Alternatively, you can lock certain rooms to prevent your butler from cleaning the place.
Another great idea is to add an aquarium where you can keep fish for plasma packs.
Don’t forget to add a computer that your vampires can use to research Vampire Secrets and level up their Vampire Lore skills.
If your vampire has the Sleep of the Undead perk, you need to purchase a coffin for them to sleep in.
