The Sims 4: Dirty Kitchen from Pressure Cooker and Kettle

Sims-4-Dirty-Surroundings-Pressure-Cooker-Kettle

Placing a pressure cooker or kettle from The Sims 4: For Rent in the kitchen, whether you use it or not, can sometimes trigger the Dirty Surroundings moodlet on the screen.

Even if there’s nothing wrong, after a few minutes, all Sims act like there’s an odd smell, sometimes with a stinky boot bubble around the cooker.

It’s not just Sims with the Neat trait. All Sims react the same. Oddly, this dirty environment mooodlet occurs even on lots without the Mold lot challenge.

According to Simmers, removing the pressure cooker or kettle clears the air. If you’d rather not delete them, stash them in your household inventory during build mode.

Some players had to delete both appliances to get rid of the stinky moodlet.

Removing just one makes it disappear temporarily, but it comes back. Notably, only the basic and tall kettles seem to have this problem—the fancy one appears unaffected by the bug.
