How do you catch a Batfish in Sims 4?
You can catch Batfish in Forgotten Grotto. This is a hidden fishing location from Oasis Springs. You don’t necessarily need to use bait to catch Batfish. However, using bait such as small or medium fish can help you catch your first Batfish faster.
If you’ve been fishing in the Forgotten Grotto for ages but still haven’t caught a single Batfish, try using the Angle for Big Catch interaction.
By the way, once your Sim has reached Level 8 of the Fishing skill, they can spot sparkling fishing signs. These special fishing signs indicate your Sim can catch rare fish in the area.
How to access the hidden fishing spot of Forgotten Grotto
As stated above, you need to first access the Forgotten Grotto hidden world to catch Batfish. Your Sim needs to break the abandoned mine entrance from Oasis Springs to access the Forgotten Grotto. They need level 10 of the Handiness skill to get the job done.
The mine entrance is located in the local park. Go to the bathroom stalls, and then head west until you find the entrance. Break the entrance and explore the tunnels.
What to do with your Batfish
After catching your first Batfish, you can put it in an aquarium. This type of fish is just too amazing to simply let it spoil in your inventory or stock your home pond with.
Alternatively, you can also mount it on a wall and use it as decoration. It will instantly give your Sim a Confident aura.
