You can use special fences and baby locks to create enclosed safe spaces for your toddlers.
You can use this option to babyproof your entire house in The Sims 4.
Place these special colorful fences on any door or gate and then enable the Baby Proofing option.
Simply click on the door you want to lock for toddlers and select Apply Baby Proofing.
You can also lock access for specific Sims. This means you can prevent them from physically interacting with your toddlers.
Sims outside the fence will still be able to talk to toddlers but they won’t be able to touch them or pick them up.
Some toddlers may try to break lose
Wild toddlers may try to break loose. They can force babyproofed doors and try to get out.
To use this interaction, click on your toddler and select the Break Loose option to open the door of a babyproofed enclosure.
Keep in mind that success is not guaranteed. Your toddler may succeed or may not succeed in opening the door and breaking loose.
When a toddler managed to break loose, they’ll get the Can’t Be Contained buff. They’ll feel like an escape artist for the next two hours.
If you don’t want your toddlers to break loose all the time, don’t use the Wild toddler trait.
Happy Simming!
