My Sim Got Suspended From University | Can I re-enroll?

sims suspended from uni

The dream of every Sims 4: Discover University player is to see their Sims graduate with straight A’s.

Speaking of which, you can check out our guide on how to get A+ grades and make sure your Sim graduates at the top of the class.

But that dream can quickly get ruined if your Sim gets suspended from University. In this guide, we’ll explore the reasons why that could possibly happen and we’ll see if your Sim can re-enroll or not.

Why is my Sim suspended from university?

Your Sim got suspended from university for doing poorly across all classes.  If your Sim keeps getting D, D-, C, or C- across all classes, expect them to be put on probation. If they fail to get better grades, they’ll be suspended from uni.

If you don’t actively play your Sims from start to finish of their University experience, they will get suspended while you’re playing another household.

If you get F grades, the university suspension system works as follows:

  • 1st F grade: You enter academic probation. There is no suspension.
  • 2nd F grade: You get suspended for the following term.
  • 3rd F grade: You get suspended for 1 year.

Failing all the classes in one term means that your Sim automatically gets suspended from uni.

Why is my Sim on probation?

Sims can be put on academic probation for low-class performance. Many players noticed that even if their Sims complete all the university-related tasks perfectly but they have low skills (level 4), they would still be put on probation.

And if they failed to level up their Sims’ skills, they would eventually get suspended.

Can I re-enroll my Sim to university?

If your Sim got suspended from uni, you need to drop out first and then re-enroll. Sometimes, you can’t re-enroll immediately and you need to wait a few days.

Why is enrollment suspended?

There are some cases where you can re-enroll your Sim to university right after they got suspended.

Keep in mind that certain degrees and scholarships come with particular requirements. If you’re using a scholarship to pay for university, you need to pay back the scholarship amount in order to be able to enroll in college again.

If you live in dorms, you must repay all debt to the school before you can return to university. On the other hand, if you’re living off campus, you need to pay back all the student loans before you can re-enroll.

⇒ Important Note: Many players reported there’s a bug with the re-enrollment process which left their Sims unable to re-enroll to university.

Tips on how to avoid getting your Sim suspended from uni and get good grades

  • Do your homework for each class.
  • Complete all the assignments for the course: some classes require a presentation and you’ll need a presentation board for that, others require term papers, and so on.
  • Revise your term paper several times before you submit it. The first draft is always low quality, so do revise it a few times. The more you revise it, the better it gets. The same is valid for presentations.
  • Buy textbooks related to your class and study extra. You can purchase then from the university kiosks.
  • Email the professors for work status. Alternatively, you can also go to office hours.
  • Level up the skill associated with the respective class. If the skill is guitar, then purchase a guitar and practice.
  • Don’t be late for class. Like never. Being on time for your classes is absolutely critical.
  • Take notes and listen actively while in class.

And now you know.
