In this guide, we’ll show you how you can quickly return to the game menu if you’re stuck in a custom game and you can’t end it.
There is an option to leave the game in the pause menu but the problem is this option does not always appear on the screen. As a result, players remain stuck in the current game.

Hitting the Windows key to go back to your desktop doesn’t help either. Valorant will simply take you back to the custom game match when you launch it again.
How to Leave a Custom Game in Valorant
Solution 1 – Use the End Game Phase button
If you’re the creator of the custom game, skip through the rounds until you reach the end of the game. To do this:
- Press Escape in the middle of the match
- Go to the Cheats page of the menu
- Keep on hitting the End Game Phase button until your skip all the rounds.
It should not take you more than 1 or 2 minutes to reach the end of the game. Bear in mind that this solution works only if you created the custom game and you enabled the cheats option for the private match before you started playing.

Solution 2 – Wait
If you haven’t got any other pressing tasks waiting for you, another solution is to simply wait and not do anything. After 5 minutes, Valorant will think you’re away from keyboard and will automatically end the match due to inactivity.
